I graduated from Iowa State with a BS in Zoology with big plans to move to California and work at the San Diego Wildlife Park with a career in animal husbandry.

When that didn't pan out, I went back to school for computer programming, (my original plan at ISU). As Y2K was fast approaching, in 1998 I was selected as one of only 30 people out of over 300 applicants for a special 'Accelerated Mainframe Programming' certificate program that Kirkwood Community College organized to crank out students with the ability to help local corporations reprogram thousands of lines of code before the year 2000 put a wrench in everything. I found my new passion and have been working in the corporate IT/software development world ever since. I can honestly say that was the most influential and definitive time in determining my career and future life path, besides my unwavering faith in my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

In late 2013 I met the love of my life John Krog on Christian Mingle. We were married June 6th 2015 and am now happier and more content than I've ever been in my life. It's amazing how the perfect partner in life along with faith in Christ can do that for a person.
