Bike & Beer Crawl

Saturday, July 23 | 11:00 AM | Route Details Below
(Starting location is the south lot of Kennedy High School)

We may be 30 years older, but we've still got it!

So here is the plan!!!

This is more of a social ride than a butt burner, but it should allow riders a chance to see the area from a new vantage point.

Cedar Rapids has done a lot of work on the trail and this is perfect timing to see the progress.

Starting Area is Kennedy South Lot. Plenty of parking, easy access to those that want to do the Tour first, and what a better place to start anyway! Riding times are approximate and we are scherduling 20 minute layovers at each stop to allow riders to catch up or grab a drink or snack.

Leg 1) We will leave Kennedy Parking Lot and ride to The Blind Pig 2 mile warm up 10 - 10:10 am
Leg 2) Blind Pig to Sag Wagon 4 miles 10:30 - 10:50 am
Leg 3) Sag Wagon to Kickstand, Parlor City, Newbo, Czech Town area 3 miles 11:10 - 11:30 am
Lunch - choose from any of the local resturants in area 11:30 - 1:00 pm
Final Leg 4) Czech Bridge to New Shack Tavern 3 miles 1:00 - 1:25 pm

Upon completion, those that need more time in the saddle can venture on or ride back to Kennedy. Brian Harkness has volunteered to drive the route and be available with truck and small trailer to act as an assist vehicle for anyone that needs transportation back to Kennedy due to bike trouble or "too much fun."

Anyone that wants to simply drive the route and meet riders at stops are encouraged, BUT PLEASE DO NOT DRINK AND DRIVE!
